Ms. Donelan recently completed her Master of Music degree at the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University under the tutelage of Professor Nova Thomas and Director of Opera Studies, Joshua Winograde. She was named an Encouragement Award winner in the 2025 and 2026 Houston District of The Metropolitan Opera Eric and Dominique Laffont Competition. This fall, Sophia Grace will begin her Resident Artist position at Shreveport Opera for their 2026-27 season, where she will sing the roles of Gretel in Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel, Mrs Hayes/Susannah (cv) in Floyd's Susannah, and Luigia in Donizetti's Viva la Mamma! Sophia Grace is an alumna of the Young Artists’ Vocal Academy at Houston Grand Opera.
